Ladies County Friendly Game

'On the road Wiltshire County Ladies’ came to Andover to
play Bowls Hampshire County Ladies on Wednesday 28 th June.

This is the second time that Andover has been asked to host
a Ladies County Friendly.

Our President Dave Corbett handed the green over to Bowls
Hampshire’s President Kim Harris.

The afternoon went very well with lots of laughter and
socialising on the green but a lot of competitive bowling too.

The score did not reflect the overall result which went to
Wiltshire 122 to Hampshire’s 79 but winning on three rinks a
piece we call it a draw.
Better luck next time Hampshire.

Andover did have several ladies playing for Hampshire,
Janet Williamson, Cynthia Hamilton and Lesley Taylor but
even this didn’t help.

A lot of work behind the scenes goes on by our members to make these occoasions go smoothly so it is always welcome when compliments are received about the green and organisation of the day as they were on this occasion.
