Club Sunday Competitions 2022
4th September - Bradley Memorial Trophy Trophy
All Rinks were full for this ladies knockout competition, 14 ladies each lady playing 4 games of 8 ends to reach the final. Elainne Piper and was our winner and Shirley Stoten runner up.
It was also great to see some of our newer bowlers taking part and enjoying the day.
28th August - Invitation Pairs
A full game for this popular competition, we had 12 pairs on the green consisting of a great mix of experienced and new bowlers and a great day was had by all.
We had a few additional spectators as well which is always welcome. The finalists were Sue Milton and Cliff Appleby against Linda Sturt and Tony Guy, victory eventually went to Sue and Cliff.

21st August - Sid Butler Competition
A full days bowling in perfect bowling weather, sunshine and a light breeze. This was a really close and fiercely fought men’s competition with the final between the very experienced John Allenby and a relative newcomer Martin Rapley. Martin held his nerve and came out victorious. Well done Martin.
It was a great day of bowling enjoyed by us all
3rd July - George Hacking Competition
This is a triples competition, and we had a beautiful sunny Sunday for a fantastic day's bowling. The winning team was led by one of our very experienced bowlers Andy Boyman with 2 newer players Roy Slydel and Sarah Piper helping to bring the prize home after narrowly beating Ray Bramley, Evan Lewens and Sue Milton

Sunday 5th June - Club Triples
The day started at 10.00, 18 members turned up to play and each triple had 3 games of 6 ends. The weather was fine but cold and breezy. There were some very exciting games played by everyone.
The Finalists were Cliff Appleby, Sue Milton and Cathy Hopwood v
Jenny Guy, Evan Lewens and Roy Slydel.
Sunday 8th May - Club Drawn Pairs
The weather was good, and the day started at 9.30, with 24 members playing, divided into three groups, The winners of each group played in a semi final, and the winners went through to the final. Thanks to Elainne Piper our Competitions Secretary who organised the day
The Finalists were Martin Rapley and Sue Milton against Evan Lewens and Mary Wilkinson,
Sue Milton and Martin Rapley won the day after a very close final game.
